This year has been a good year of traveling and exploring for me — from living in 4 states last year to looking for jobs nation-wide, it’s been kind of a whirlwind. And I’ll be honest, while I love traveling and getting to experience new places, I’m craving some form of stability in my life! But anyway…
Last week, I had the chance to visit the San Francisco bay area for a few days (I had a last minute job interview) and I wanted to share my quick trip with you all! My mom tagged along for the ride, and I’m so grateful she was able to visit the bay area with me and support me during a semi-stressful week. Here are some photos from our trip:
We spent most of our time in Fremont, because that’s the town I was interviewing in, and we loved it. The community was friendly and felt very safe and comfortable! Lots of great food, too. Central Park and the lake were gorgeous. You keep being you, California!
We loved walking around the Don Edward’s Wildlife Refuge:
and these snails hanging out on this sign:
We had to stop at In-N-Out, of course, because when in California…
We spent one exhausting, breathtaking day in San Francisco, and I fell in love with that city.
The Pier 39 sea lions:
If you squint and look real hard, you can see the Golden Gate bridge in the left!
Coit Tower is certainly beautiful, but we loved walking down the crazy stairs through the neighborhoods even more. I was feeling pretty glad we were going down, because that staircase was totally long and steep!
We rode a cable car and it was amazing! That was actually the first thing we did when we hopped off the BART, and it was totally worth the $7.
The neighborhoods just blew me away. Just walking through the streets and admiring the little homes and shops was so fun!
And I found my dream house, that one in pink (of course!).
And Chinatown was an absolute dream:
And even though it was totally touristy, Lombard St (the crookedest street) was incredible. Sometimes you gotta enjoy the cheesiness in touristy places, you know?
It was a short trip, but a great trip! SF Bay, I love you. Will definitely be back.
